DELHI CITY TOUR

We suggest you head out around 10:00 am after breakfast at your hotel. Leave your itinerary up to your driver and Guide, or pick from these must-sees :
  • Jama Masjid, the country's largest mosque
  • the medieval workmanship of Qutb Minar
  • Humayun's tomb, Delhi's finest example of Mughal architecture
  • Puran Qila, built by the man who laid the original Grand Trunk Road
  • the elegant but imposing Red Fort
  • the massive masonry instruments of Jantar Mantar observatory (1719)
  • Rajpath, India Gate and the central government buildings
  • the famous Lotus Temple of the Baha'i faith
  • Infamous Connaught Place, Delhi's chief shopping center
You make your own schedule, but you'll probably want to stop for lunch around 1:30. We know the white table cloth restaurants, or maybe you are missing MacDonald's or Kentucky Fried Chicken already? You can eat from the street stalls, they always smell so tempting......but we'll try and talk you out of it!

Your city tour will last around four or five hours. Time to go back to your hotel for dinner and an early bedtime. Not ready to sleep?? You can arrange for your driver to take you to some evening entertainment.

Perhaps the sound and light show at the Red Fort, or an exhibition or Indian dance and music?

Nothing can prepare you for the riot of colors, sounds and smells that you'll experience on your first day in India!

City Tour of Delhi ..............................................Price: Rs 1000

ROAD SAFTY RULES(SAFE DRIVING)

.1 Don't use your mobile phone whilst driving
2. Belt up in the back
3. Don't drink and drive
4. Always adhere to speed limits
5. Steer clear of erratic drivers. Let a tailgater pass you.
6. Keep your eyes on the road. Talking on a cell phone or reading a map can distract you and lead to an accident. Keep in mind that a distracted driver might also be near you. Drive cautiously.
7. Be alert near parked cars. Someone could open a car door or pull out in front of you.
8. Don’t drive sleep-deprived. Sleep is not a matter of willpower, but a biological need. If you become drowsy, pull off the road and get some rest.
9. When passing another car, get past the driver’s blind spot as quickly and safely as possible.
10. Keep your distances
Avoid High Speeds - When driving on the motorway try and stick to 70mph. Avoiding high speeds on motorways and A-roads can save a lot of petrol. Around 50% of the power produced by the engine is used to overcome aerodynamic drag. Drag increases rapidly above 70mph so you fuel consumption will suffer.
Smooth Driving - Acceleration and deceleration is what uses most fuel. For this reason you will improve your fuel consumption with smooth driving, Also avoid heavy acceleration from the lights and try not to rev too much.
Don't Coast In Neutral - Modern cars automatically shut off fuel to the engine if you're not accelerating, but in neutral the engine will still use a tiny amount of petrol, so when cruising up to the lights keep the car in gear.
Close Your Window - If you are driving fast then don't have your windows open unless necessary. Having the windows open causes significant drag which

ROAD ACCIDENTS INDIA

Road Conditions..........
Road conditions that include bumpy, uneven and poor designed roads are notorious for accident.  In India, many cities have huge pot holes on roads which make the drive really difficult. This is why some people prefer buying off-roaders than the normal city car so that the ride is safer and comfortable. On such challenging roads, if the weather conditions are bad, then the chances of accidents increases and may lead to a deadly car accident
 Weather Conditions.........
Inclement weather and uneven roads are also listed under the causes of car accidents. Weather conditions heavy rain, snowstorms, high winds and fog makes the driving difficult. During monsoon driving, the car is expected to skid if not controlled strongly and smartly. The key reason why bad weather causes an accident is unclear vision.

It is always advisable to stay slow and more focused during such kind of weather conditions
  Speeding...........
Driving over the speed limit is also a major cause of accidents. There are certain speed limits chosen by the traffic control bodies to ensure safety of the driver. Driving at the given speed limit allows the driver to respond efficiently to sudden emergencies like sudden stop, on-road obstacle, or even an expected collision. Exceeding the speed limit directly reduces the driver’s response time, which further leads to an accident.

Simply slowing down the car speed and obeying posted speed limits can help to make the roads, cars, drivers and the car passengers safer
